By combining our medical center, we have enhanced patient care. Patient records and medical information can be called up at either campus, and a physician with privileges at our center can admit a patient at either campus depending on which is more clinically appropriate.
We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with NICU Pediatric experience for Full Time Day Shift position. Must be PharmD, State of Virginia Pharmacy License with 1 year or more recent hospital pediatric experience. This is Monday thru Friday Day Shift position.
It is the responsibility of the Pharmacist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of pharmacy care. -Provide age specific pharmacy care for neonate through geriatric patients -Exercise judgment within the guidelines of the medical plan of care, department policy and licensure practice acts. -Integrate knowledge of pharmacology, selection and distribution of drug therapy into critical thinking decisions regarding administration to the patient. -Perform skillfully in the documentation of the drug therapy process. -Contribute to the plan of care and patient/family education regarding drug therapy. -Integrate as a member of a multidisciplinary team to support patient care and meeting healthcare needs. -Intervene to support staff and physicians in drug therapy issues. -Appraise the appropriateness of pharmaceutical therapy. -Collaborate with the healthcare team to perform quality analysis of work processes and performance improvement goals.
-Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacology. -Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy is required or PharmD. -Completion of Pharmacy Residency Program, required. -Current, verifiable license as a Pharmacist in the State of Virginia
